Mark G8PHM and Kieran M7KJS arranged a short notice practical session for your foundation licence candidates to take advantage of the warm weather.

Setting up outside to keep everyone safe the candidates were able to make contacts on 2m, 20m 40m and 80m. With signals strong from across Europe we managed to have contacts with stations in Spain and Italy and hear activity from Switzerland and the Ukraine.

The candidates all got the opportunity to work stations and practise matching the antenna using a manual ATU.

A refreshing drink in the local pub beer garden finished off the evening and rewarded everyone for their efforts.
