DVRS Club Meeting, 10th August 2022, an auspicious day in club history!

Multiple FT8 contacts were achieved on the first outing for Steve's Shack in a rack, SIAR, project, after some initial worry, as the data link refused to work correctly. It emerged that reducing the data rate to 4800 baud on the WSJTX setup solved the problem, allowed the LDG auto-tuner to properly control the FT897, as well as pass the CAT control messages through from the SIAR PC.

The rack was kindly donated by Dave, the PC by Kieran 2E0FVB, the rest of the equipment was already in the club's possession. The design, additional hardware, wiring and work all provided by Steve.
