Solar & HF Report.
For the benefit of the new members. My HF report is produced by using a mode called WSPR, which stands for Weak Signal Reporter Network. WSPR is a data mode that is only 6Hz wide and takes just under two minutes to transmit. Power out put is 2 watts, which is high power for WSPR. Some club members have worked to VK, using 200mW. I will produce an item for the club web pages, at a later date.
I have this week dropped 6 Meters and 80 Meters, as both bands have not been producing any DX. However I have added 17 meters, while I am on the long wire.
Solar Report
A very quiet week. There was a magnetic storm in the early hours of Saturday. Producing a K index of 5. Alas I was QRT by then.
