Solar Report

On Sunday a solar flare hit Earth at 17:10 Soon after reports came back from South America on 28mhz. Since Sunday the bands have been in poor shape. At the moment, there are no sunspots on the sun. On the 24th or 25th there may be an increase in the solar wind, which may effect the bands.

HF Report

80 Meters. Reports Greater Than 500km.

Due to changing the antenna back to the fan dipole in place of the long wire, there will be no 80M report from next week. There have been no reports from North America again this week, The best DX has again been the Canaries.

40 Meters Reports Greater Than 1000km.

The band has been up and down all week. Did get the odd report from VK most days, Wednesday was by far the best, with reports from VK and TI and PY in South America.

20 Meters Reports Greater Than 3000km.

Sunday, the only reports came back from North America. Monday the only reports that were not from North America, came from 9K2RA and the normal PY stations. Tuesday a better day, with reports from South Africa and one report from ZL. All other reports were from NA. On Wednesday the band was in better shape, with reports from ZS, PY and ZL. Thursday was down hill again, with the number of reports down. The best DX was PY2DSR at 15:20. The band close down early at 21:00. Friday was a better day, with reports from ZS and PY as well as the normal reports from NA. Saturday the band was still down, but I did get reports from JA and PY during the day.

15 Meters Reports Greater Than 1000km.

On Tuesday and Wednesday I did get one report from N2HQI, the highlight of the week, the remainder were from Europe or the Canaries.

10 Meters. Reports Greater Than 500km.

Sunday was by far the best day. As reported in the solar report, reports came back from South America on Sunday. FR5KE in French Guiana gave reports from 18:12 to 18:48. The remainder of the day, reports came back from Europe. Monday to Saturday was very poor, with just the odd report or none at all.

6 Meters.

Very poor all week. Did expect some DX on Sunday, but it was not to be.
