Solar Report.

It has been a week of spot the sunspot. During the week, the start of a sunspot has been see. Due to it not forming properly, it was not given a sunspot number until Saturday, alas it is from the old solar cycle..

Report from spaceweather.com.LAST GASP OF SOLAR CYCLE 24: A small sunspot has emerged near the sun's equator: AR2766. The sunspot's low latitude and magnetic polarity identify it as a member of old Solar Cycle 24. The decaying solar cycle still has some life left in it--but only a little. It's right here.

HF Report.

Due to the lack of solar activity, no a lot has happened on the HF bands this week.Steve 2E0SSI has been running 200mW on 20 Meters again. Wednesday was the only day that reports came back in any number overnight from North America. During the day, reports have come back at times from South America, prior to the reports from North America. Yesterday (Saturday) saw a lot of reports from PY (Brazil) and it was not until night time that reports came back from North America.

6 Meters

It has been a dull week on 6 Meters, due to a low pressure system being close to the UK. The best day was Thursday, Monday saw reports from Hungary and Denmark, Tuesday saw reports from Hungary, Germany and the Canaries. Thursday saw a lot of reports from Germany, a few from the Canaries and the Czech Republic. All the other days saw no reports from station more than 500km away.

Darenth Valley is a small, but friendly club, that meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Crockenhill Village Hall starting at 8pm.
