Steve M0HRY finds the 40m band full of clean signals at the 26th October 2022 club meeting.

The new club antenna, as built by Phil M0IMA and installed by Paul M0HAL, John M7CAL and Phil M0IMA is put through its paces for the first time, using shack in a rack, SIAR. The club's FT897 and LDG tuner are visible, beneath Steve's skilled operating hand.

Chairs are generally used to operate, but sometimes enthusiasm exceeds the desire for comfort! Well done all.

The antenna working party today installed a scaffold pole as donated by Paul and transported by John, fixed to wooden post, concreted 2’6" down about, 75cms in the far field corner of the village hall.
Phil's new HF antenna is strung to the scaffold pole on the building. And wired to the stage. A double socket is sunken into the stage wall, wiring in trunking to a suitable location by Mark G8PHM and John M7CAL.

Darenth Valley is a small, but friendly club, that meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Crockenhill Village Hall starting at 8pm.
